This guy gets it.

Republicans now have a war hero running for president, Ronald Reagan reincarnated as a woman running for vice president, and an opponent in Barack Obama who has voted 97% of the time in lockstep with the failed leadership of the do-nothing Democratic Congress,
a Congress which has failed to pass an energy bill, which has failed to stop earmarks and pork barrel spending, and which has failed to pull U.S. troops out of Iraq with the result that we won the war that Congress said was unwinnable!

Republicans are on the right side of all of the truly big issues of the day: Winning the war on terror; cutting pork barrel spending; vetoing all bills that have earmarks; supporting choice in education; stopping efforts to increase taxes; promoting even more free trade; appointing judges who will not legislate from the bench; passing a comprehensive energy bill that includes more drilling, more nuclear power, development of shale oil, and development of wind and solar; recalibrating the tax code subsidy that makes health care unaffordable for many of those without jobs; and creating a culture of life in which child rearing and raising a family is supported and not looked down on. It is enough to make anyone a Republican.

How does the Kool Aid taste?

Median household income in 2000 (inflation-adjusted): $49,158
Median household income in 2006: $48,201

Amount of U.S. liquid fuel consumption that was imported in 2001: 52.75
percent
Amount of U.S. liquid fuel consumption that is imported in 2008: 60.38
percent

Americans without health insurance in 2000: 38.4 million
Americans without health insurance in 2006: 46.9 million

The national debt in 2001: $5.7 trillion
The national debt in Jan. 2008: $9.2 trillion

U.S. budget surplus in 2000: +$236 billion
U.S. budget deficit in 2007: -$354 billion

All of those numbers are from the years when the do-nothing Republican Congress,
a Congress which failed to pass an energy bill, which failed to stop earmarks and pork barrel spending, and which voted in lockstep with the failed leadership of George W. Bush.
I'm not saying Democrats are any better, but the so-called "Republicans" in Congress should be ashamed of themselves. Real Republicans should run them all out of office, not spew horseshit all over the internet trying to get more idiots elected just because they have a (R) after their name.

"passing a comprehensive energy bill that includes more drilling"

Republicans are not interested in a comprehensive energy bill. They are only interested in drilling more. They all are in the money when it comes to oil so the more they drill the more money they make. They could care less about wind or solar cause then they won't make any money.

The Kool-Aid tastes great. At least as good as all that "Change We Can Believe In" horseshit, when, in reality, the plan hasn't changed since 1847, when Marx and Engels published The Communist Manifesto Obama could have the greatest political platform ever if he'd just come out and say what he really means. "We'll take care of all of your needs and most of your wants, and it won't cost you a thing. We'll just send the bill to Uncle Pennybags, Richie Rich, Daddy Warbucks, and Vince McMahon. After all, they can afford it."
